Leaders are often reluctant to delegate jobs. This likely caused by several things. Perhaps he felt that the job was much easier to work alone than have to explain it to someone else and then need much time to correct mistakes.

Second, leaders do not trust with the capabilities of employees to perform tasks that should be delegated.

Another reason, perhaps, if leader delegate jobs to the brilliant employees and able to learn quickly, the leaders felt threatened by competence.

Benefits
The leader actually  can gain much benefit from delegating jobs. Benefits include the following:
• Delegation clearly make your job easier
• If delegation goes well, then you will be able to concentrate on other job that more important
• Leaders can focus only on key decisions while any other decision could be delegated
• Develop interactive cooperation with the employees
• Provide new challenges to employees with a variety of new job
• Train employees to make decision

When will leaders can start to delegating jobs?
Leaders can begin to delegate jobs when his time more narrow to do important work, or he felt his job too much. Thus, leaders can begin to learn to delegate.

So if you see to some of your staff or a new employee need to grow, then you can perform delegation. Or if you see the employee has necessary skills to perform a specific job, always try to delegate.

In delegating jobs, capabilities and character of employees  become one important factor. Skill and knowledge is a requirement absolutely owned. Or at least the employee has the potential to grow as you wish. Then the other important thing is he must have good character, meaning you can build your confidence in him.
